Usually this is a problem with Spotlight searching non-indexed drives, i.e. NTFS or FAT32. Try excluding your Bootcamp partition from Spotlight.

Why? The law requires an rights owner to defend its IP or risk losing it. These suits are just business, no hard feelings, as seen by Apple's monster-sized component contract w/ Samsung. Any yes, business is about making money.

thats not the issue i'm contesting, what i'm saying is why do most american parents take issue at their kids having sex, it makes no sense unless your kid is stupid and has random unsafe sex.

I am curious as to why diesel never caught on in the US despite most automakers producing diesel models.
To understand this you would have to go back to the late 1970's when GM introduced the 5.7L V8 Oldsmobile Diesel. In theory the idea was good. Produce an engine that has much better fuel economy, but still has enough torque to pull around a large car. In reality this engine and other GM passenger car diesels are responsible for scaring away generations of Americans from ever owning a diesel car. I don't think you will find many people from 40 years old and up that are not aware of the GM diesel nightmare. To this day the word diesel and passenger car in the same sentence scares them.
Today's diesels are much better and are well engineered and should last much longer then 40-50,000 miles, but something so bad in the past can haunt for years to come.

It is just some software that lets you transfer waypoints, tracks, and routes between your Mac and Garmin units...
Pretty cool but I thought it might be some great new hardware.. maybe even for Iphone. :(

Hello,
Anyone know of a free program I can download that will allow me to do the bare bones basics of photoshop? I have OS X 10.4.11.
I need to do stuff like crop, contrast, resize images, burn and dodge, basic use of paintbrush etc.
Any suggestions? Please Help!

If I could get Apple's programmers to make one change, the first would be to bring back the handy method of choosing what application to open from a web address in email.
Used to be that if you wanted to change this, you option-clicked on the address, and a list of applications came up.
This is now gone, and I have no idea how to change the browser that is the automatic choice.
Others? What would you change?

Has anyone had a close look at the main picture on Apple's preview page? The sender of the email in the top pane is 'Katie Lorenzo' but in the preview pane her name is 'Amy Lorenzo'. Also, the delivery time is out by almost an hour.

Nah, it's probably just a mistake on apple's part (after all, i don't think this website has been officially released yet since we can't find links to it). I say that it is not photoshopped because i'm currently logged into .mac through the cited webpage. So yeah, it's real, otherwise i wouldn't be logged into .mac at the top.

Thanks for the link. It does look like WebKit's doing it with the CSS property, so that's good. Interestingly, that page is a good example of how easy it is to do strange, bad things to the scrollbars if you resize it to certain shapes. Developers will have to remember to set mins and maxes for all sorts of elements now if they want to allow resizing. The phrase "can of worms" comes to mind. Oh well.
